Commercial Sign Printing onto panels used for displaying advertising
outdoors or indoor, screen printed large quantity decals and stickers, packaging
ends, display work, billboard style signage.
How screen printing works A large amount of ink is laid onto a flat mesh
(screen). The surface tension of the ink will not allow the ink to fall through
the tiny holes onto the panel. Then, under pressure, a squeegee moves along the
silk forcing the colored ink to pass through and touch the sign board. The ink
is then transferred onto the signage.
As the pressure of the squeegee passes along, immediately after, the silk springs back into shape allowing the board to be print perfect.
How do you get the artwork to work. Preparing the silk screen is done by applying an emulsion that is light sensitive. Just like a photograph is made. Then, we make a 'film' version of the artwork in negative. Expose the emulsion to a bright light for up-to 5 minutes. When exposed and cured, the screen is washed under intense water pressure removing the excess un-exposed portions. Allowed to dry and then set onto the equipment.
Screen Printing saves lots of money, but you need to communicate with us pre art work design or pre set up. Costs are involved in making the first screens and a 'single' screen is required for each and any color. Once the set up is arranged, production time and cost become significantly lower. The more prints the lower the amortized cost.
What if the set up vs. quantity is not right? Then we go to the new forms
of digital printing. Fantastic technology, the art department is widely
experienced in producing art for digital. At the new site, there are many Ezine
and tutorials on printing with new digital color systems. We recommend you go
there.
Lifetime of Ink, screen printing is superior to any color light fastness except
pure polymized vinyl pvc that is self adhesive. The new site also has online
colors that are corrected for a screen view so that you can design online signs.

Can a flexible banner be screen printed, I intend to make more than 100
distributor style signs? Yes, specialized inks are used that key onto the vinyl.

Resolution of Print
Screen
printing for signage is best performed at these three ranges: 30 lpi, 40 lpi, 45
lpi. LPI is Lines Per Inch. Any artwork file you create should remain high
resolution at 150dpi or above, LPI is the size of final ink dot.
Can I laser and screen print? YES.
