Sandbox Filter Effect
What is the sandbox effect?
Often, query words do not show up in some results
or in the cache. This may be the result of the query word
matching a link on another page that points to the URL
that is listed on the search results page.
The probationary effect known as the "Sandbox
Effect" is the normal delay period applied to all pages, sites and
links that lasts for 6-12 months after the domain name is configured
and pinged to the datacenters. If you create a brand new site
for the Internet, it will take some time to be indexed.
This delay is for good reasons. All the SE's
systems, operations, return results and algorithms are designed to
slow new entrants to the web from overtaking longer standing sites
to the top of the engine rankings.
Reasons
1. Many non interest pages, forum comments,
general 'space filling' pages and other non important pages are
created everyday, every hour, every minute, every second around the
world.
2. History of page, the non important pages are
automatically reviewed for relevant content via the spider
bots. The longer a page that shows 80% content 'no theme change' the
better the site or page can be indexed. Non important pages are
rejected and given a 0 page rank.
3. Al SE's reward authority sites - those are
sites which have been online for a period of more than 12 months and
provide regularly updated and relevant content, and those which
receive "page match and initial page rank" (links) from other
respected sites in a similar industry with a historical timeline of
being relevant.
How to get a new site listed and indexed
Ask the domain register to delegate your site. Do
not do it yourself unless you have great experience. Delegation from

that your site is spread globally... more accurately... and with
more resources than you currently know of.

1. For the first one month, do not submit to any
search engine.
2. During the first month, concentrate on getting outside links that
are relevant to your site. Spend the entire first month writing to
associated webmasters asking for an inbound link. Never use a link
farm. Never spam. Never do anything that will harm your site.
3. If your site is finished before delegating,
optimise the pages by reading the articles listed.

6. Generate well written and unique pages during
this probation period.
7. Use traditional advertising to boost page
clicks from interested people.
8. Don't start an online advertising campaign
yet. Wait until your site is indexed with at least 10 pages of
results. Why? If you create a page that you want to reach top ten
through search results, you must wait before commencing any online
adverts. Online adverts use different doc servers. They will not
help your page rank in any way. They will however, show to the bots
that your page is reliant on advertised links only. This will effect
the first indexation of your site. Your site will be classified into
a purely ad driven site.
9. Optional. If you want to create a site not
reliant on natural searches, but want to create a business site with
online advertising, go for it. But you will not reach a top ten site
naturally. Also, many will not link to such a site.
10. Find affiliates that can create a mini web
site or promote your site. Affiliate sites with little original
content will not help your page rank so be careful whom you
approach.
11. For the first 12 months, link outside your
website. Find great sites and write an outbound link. If you know
how to find PR6 sites, write a few hypertext links to those pages.
After 12 months, start to reduce the number of outward links. Always
write any outbound link that is relevant within a paragraph.
12. Join industry or Category based forums,
industry databases, searched domains etc and keep adding to their
content.
13. Work on better content for your pages, write
paragraphs that contain 300-500 characters. Give away information

14. Get popular, promote your site and create
excitement amongst surfers about your web site design.
15. Go back and check that every page has a unique
page title. Use meaningful page titles that have a 'hook' for the
person to enter.
16. Check that each page manages to achieve at
least 16%
PTTR. Remove excessive pictures from your pages until you have
at least 10 pages indexed. Make your site fast, Go text, go text, go
text.
17. Minimum 600 words per page.
18. Headings, sub headings, get to the point of
the page quickly and write all headlines that are useful for the
page.
19. Descriptive text and well formed,
grammatically correct sentences and paragraphs. Ensure that your
spelling is correct and if required, use the correct language tag
for the regions you wish to appear within.

Buying an existing domain

now consider domain transfer as a new site. Be careful if you plan
to buy an existing site.
Also, be careful that the older site is actually not previously been
used as a purely advertisement based site, an email server, a banner
rotation site, an adult site etc.
Avoid buying a domain purely to get the historical timeline removed.
Better to create a newly designed site. Also, if you purchase an
existing domain, you may suffer from Error 404 heavily.
