Search Engine Optimisation Design
Overview
Website
Statistics Help Page
If your website hosting company gives you free website
statistics, carefully look at the following sections to help improve
your search engine optimisation efforts for your website.
Unique page views
This is the most important and truly relevant
statistic available to you. In short, this means the total URL Page
Views, not elements that are URL'd.
Work hard on getting more Unique page views for
your site, to do this you can add a page each month, add more mini
websites and add better internal hyperlinks around and inside
paragraphs.
Unique Visitor
This is very important and can be a singled out as
being your overall search engine listing success. The more new
visitors that find your site and enter, the better. If you work on
the above two statistical results above together, it means...
People are staying on your site longer AND,
returning to your site, AND referring others to your site.
Each unique visitor and page view calculation are
the two most intertwined statistics you should aim for.
Popular Pages
Work very hard on the popular pages that are shown
by your statistics. From some of the other pages around your site,
add a hypertext link inside a paragraph of 300-400 characters to
those pages... AND... from the popular page, add a hyperlink inside
a paragraph to new page or mini map. This is a professional service
offered.

Geography
The regions from which people are visiting your
website can be very important if you operate an ecommerce store
online. If you discover that a high percentage ratio of site visits
are coming from a different country, try adding a language tag to
new pages. Use the geography settings and reboot pages that are
country specific. Also, add regional descriptions inside the titles
of those related pages.
Referrals
Try this new approach to sites that refer your
pages. Concentrate on keeping that page very modern and refreshed
with new and interesting comment.
Search engines will discover where links come from that are
updated. If your 'referring site' is spidered, and your page is new
or contains lots of paragraphed texts, the bots commence a second
bot initialization and open a spidering process on your pages. This
is known as x-spidering wherein the search engine initiates indexing
on multiple sites. Many articles are written on the web of why pages
are found when never submitted. This is x-spidering. We also have an
article listed highlighting
how to get a new site listed in your favorite search engines and
pre-optimisation tips and suggestions.
Choose your language tag wisely
Due to the global nature of languages and different screen
readers, use the lang tag wisely. If you are not writing an article
in a particular language, choose lang="en" for English.
