Be very critical of the images you use on your website

1. Choosing the wrong picture can and will make people instantly back button that page or close down your domain. The manner in which you wish to promote your site relies on correct picture themes, visual web ambience and speed.

Tips: Anything that lowers your online page time must be immediately changed. This includes photos, backgrounds, pictures, bad links, screen sizes etc. Dont lose traffic purely because the entry page is off-theme for the search result.

2. Add a generalized theme picture on the popular pages so that if the entry page is not what the specific search conducted is, or, another domain refers the page hit, the surfer can quickly determine if they are in the right spot.

Design for readers first... use the correct pictures

Which picture to add can be very simple or very difficult to decide. Always match a picture to the overall theme of your business and show a generalized picture of products. Sites may be closed down because the general product line was not shown, the entry page may have been 'visually' away from the surfers intention etc.

Tip Always include an Alt Tag for pictures. Then the image will be spidered and added to the photo libraries of the search engines.
