How to choose website design hosting companies
Choosing a web site hosting company is critical for success
regardless of what site plan, options, extensions or features they
promote, you should only choose a web site hosting company with the
following one (1) rule.
! Ensure the datacenter is
located in your target region.
You must match your IP address to the Country /
Location of your site domain extension.
If you want to reach your country-national Top 10 Website, you must
locate your web pages at a datacenter within your region.
If your site is global, choose a DOTCOM DOMAIN and then RUN MINI
SITES WITH A LOCAL DOMAIN EXTENSION located in each country
with a new domain name. Set your sites folders with clearly
identified and friendly folder names showing the country name. Tips:
Do not repeat the content, each site must have new content.
Duplicate content will be disregarded by most popular engines.
www
The web is fantastic and can be used to get viewers from
every country. However, most sites are generated for local or
regional purposes. If your site is nationally orientated, you will
outperform all others. If you only want 'state' visitors, choose a
datacenter in your state. Then, write the pages with your states
name in the keywords.
To find where your site domain is hosted, try
this, Type: website to country : in the search engines. There are
hundreds of site that will show this info.
Notes: All search engines will weight the results compared to the
database location and resulting domain name extension.
Notes: If you site domain name is (as with ours) a dot.com.au
address, the datacenter must be located in Australia. Should we
choose a different country to host this site, the IP address will
also reflect that the site is not hosted in Australia, This would
greatly effect the search results, site speed and reflecting search
return results.
Avoid using a datacenter that can not provide a local IP address.
Check by asking a pre-sales question to the host. Is the datacenter
located in .... and is the Unique Site Address going to reflect that
my site is located in ...
If your business or organization is only one domain name,
consider using sub domains for each country. These typically look
like australia.mydomainname.com
Extending this rule: If you want to achieve international hits,
use a .com address and locate the datacenter in the USA. Then,
create specific folders within your site for each target region.
Earlier, we discussed the importance of folders, this should also be
extended for international site viewer attraction reasons
If you use sub domains also use specifically named folders within
the sub domain.
Hosting Company Relationships
Many website hosting companies do not operate their own datacenter,
rather, by sharing a common datacenter, the monthly expense is
lowered for you. This does not affect the performance of the hosting
company nor the position of your site.
Tips: Send a pre-sales question to the hosting
company of your choice, if they serve adult pages, you may be
de-listed from a search engine because of the same underlying IP
addresses served.
Avoid poor listings by IP Address or server association.
Tips: Never use a redirection service. All your
efforts of creating a modern, reader friendly website will be
wasted.
The main effect on your sites position at the hosting company is
where the datacenter is located and the unique IP addresses
allocated by country and the speed they
serve your pages.
If you understand the benefits of a local datacenter, you can then
choose from other factors such as personal service, technical help,
pricing plans and latest technology options, server programs and
lots more. Your priority should be to send a pre sales question to
the website hosting company and ask where your pages will be stored
and served.
If your site is located in a remote datacenter not beneficial to
your web site, change hosts. We recommend this Melbourne hosting
company site

1. Titles The keyword density is measured and
calculated. Also, the position of the keyword e.g. character #14
is weighted.
-
2. Content How the page is constructed is also
a contributing factor. Even if your site is keyword rich with
popular website design terms, this is only a percentage of
overall site analysis.
The way a search engine works is very complicated and no set of
keywords will increase your site. Write naturally and make a
great site. This is key.
-
3. Your hosting company choice is critical.
Choose a domain hosting company that serves your target region
and country. Ensure the servers are located nearby AND THAT you
are given a regional IP address.
-
4. Errors. Errors are calculated, however, not
much weighting is placed on errors. You can see lots of high
position website design full of errors over the internet.
-
4. History online. This is an important
factor. Established sites are weighted above new sites.
-
5. Instant popularity is weighted. If a
website design takes off, SE's soon know about it. The traffic
and page online time is weighted.
-
6. Never move pages or use a redirect. Better
to keep the older file name regardless of it's URL characters,
folder location or position. It will have been indexed
somewhere. Keep it. Update its content.
-
7. Site code positions are weighted. e.g.
Heading close to body tags, bold inside paragraphs, hypertext
keyword links.
Summary
Unless your target audience is international, use a data+center in
your own country. You will get more search result hits, better
indexing and more specific links from minor search engines. The
Melbourne data centre we own is located just out of Dandenong in
Victoria. Within our hosting company we employ qualified web site
designers and web site programmers, qualified graphic artists and a
marketing team of experienced marketing personnel.
You can call to discuss any web site hosting detail with any
person here because we do not sub contract out our hosting plans to
a USA centre. We are a proudly Australian made and Australian
operated website hosting business.
