XUse the Alt Text functions inside your web site designs

What is the Alt Text Feature

This is the small layer help line that appears on your browser window when hovering over a picture. The word description appears giving you a hint about the picture. This Alt Text is search engine friendly.

Tips: Write your Alt Text Attributes like this.

Use Every Word With A Capital. The inside alt text function provided with all major web design editors allows you to enter a short description of the picture, and often allows the same 'hyperlink tip'. Write a short description up to 8 words, using a Capital Letter For Each Word.... AND, use the 'block words' inside your Alt Text.

1 of 3 Tutorials: What is a block word?

Block words are the common words that are not indexed by the engines. These include: or the it is an on we us to of has be all for in as so are that can you at its by have with into, and some plural varieties.

2 of 3 Tutorials: Are images listed?

Yes, your pictures if uniquely described within the 'alt text' will be listed in the Image Search Facility of most global search engines. If you do not use the block words, the images are not treated as unique, naturally descriptive and helpful to the page viewer. It will be harder to have your pictures listed if you opt not to choose this function.

Do I want my pictures listed in the engines? This is your choice, however, to reach a top 10 website design page, you should add this searching function to the site. If you go to our main page site for our products, each picture has an alt text description.

3 of 3 Tutorials: Are Hyperlink Screen Tips worthwhile?

Yes, if you can expand the viewers experience of your website design pages, consider adding a screen tip to your hyperlinks. There is little evidence that it will help your rank though.
