Use the web to improve your pages
Finding
your listings
Go to your favorite search engine and type into the
search field...
link:www.anysitedomainnameyoulike.com HIT Enter
The doc servers will return a responding result of explored pages
that point to that domain and any sub-domains that hold a listing.
Dig Deeper, find all the internal references
There are plenty of other www sites to help you find backlinks on
any domain name, try a few... AND;
Go obscure!
Investigate and locate a site that you want to associate with.
Then, using the same technique as above, find any links that
inherently link to the page found by searching. Most times, it will
not be the home page of the competitor that is returned in the
search engine results.
The page result from the search engine may be due to their
initial page rank, history online, SEO or because of external links.
If you analyze the external sites that link to the page, you can
request a link from that referring site. This will take time,
however, you will become equals quickly.
Ask for qualified links written inside a Paragraph. If you are
willing to write to the webmaster, point out the benefits of your
site, it's ranking and future plans. Be upfront and honest about the
information. Dont use Link Farms. This is a quick way to be
rejected.
Ask for a Hypertext Link and short paragraph
describing the page.
'we found your site and thought you may also like to add this
page to your hyperlinks, it covers lots of extended information that
you have on page exampl.html If appropriate, please consider this
for your site. If you could write a short paragraph with a hypertext
link it would be great.
Dont spam, the engines know all the tricks. Ask for compelling,
referenced links that provide benefit. You can see that our site
only asks for associations. No auto generation or farming. This then
becomes the most valid method for your site.
Join a forum and show your site's worthiness, people will add you
to their database if your information contains sensible, meaningful
and credible information. Webmasters generally associate with
referenced sites. Avoid obvious 'bulk' listed sites.
Throughout your pages, write different
Hypertext-anchor descriptions. This will help your register
indexation.
Inbound links are important and DO help your SEO efforts if they
appropriately include hypertext links with keyword
relevancy.
More Tips:
- Use clearly understood hypertext link phrases for your site.
Make it obvious what is clickable.
- Use an 'already visited' color common to the entire domain.
- Dont use more than 60 links per page.
- Bad links are not followed for long.
Summary
Actually, it doesn't matter what other sites do!, it's what you
do that will raise your pages. The major engines all employ
thousands of highly intelligent people to operate their service. All
are well aware of webmaster tricks and lower the results of any
suspected attempts to 'manipulate' their feed or search results.
Create an honest site design with accurate category linking.
You are far more rewarded concentrating on your own site.
