How does Page Count affect my site?
Both large and small sites can benefit or lose from page count.
Small sites can obtain one high individual page rank by limiting the
spread of information across a small number of pages and
highlighting a main page of importance.
Large sites may lose some page rank on 'lesser' pages, but gain
higher page rank on some pages compared to small sites.
Tips: If you have a smaller site, ensure that your internal
hyperlinks promote one page with dominance (not two). Make sure this
page is very relevant and proportionally keyword orientated for your
site.
Tips: If you have a larger site, ensure that 14% of pages are
internally hyperlinked to promote better page ranks for those pages
that your consider most important and are high entry pages. Use your
gained web statistic knowledge to locate the highest entry pages,
rewrite the paragraphs for more SEO and ensure that the links within
those 'high' ranked pages also lead to second level pages that are
next in line for page rank.'
